Amy Brown

Amy's childhood contained many public performances. Starting at the age of four, she would sing at religious and school musicals. Amy also had the opportunity at a young age to be on on the college theater stage in the musicals of Music Man and Annie. Amy's parents were very committed to music education in the home. Family nights spent honking, strumming and pounding on the different instruments at home was a favorite for Amy and her sisters.

The opportunities for music education was limited in a town of 700 people but after Amy's family relocated at the start of her middle school career, Amy was able to tap into formal instrumental music instruction. Moving to "town" really set Amy on a path that has led her through many different instruments, genres.

By the time of Amy's high school graduation she had the privilege of working with high ranking instructors in the area for piano and playing trumpet with the college orchestra.
